Maths tutorial on Friday

Hey all

Maths tutorial tomorrow will be swapped with recess. Mr Yap has told me that he has asked Mr Choe to release us 5 min earlier, and we can go for maths tutorial 5-8 min later, so we can have some time to eat. He said we're allowed to eat in class too.

So maths tutorial will be the period right after GP, at the same venue as GP, that aircon room. And we'll have a 1 hour break before CT period.

And good work everyone for 5 items today!

Chemical Bonding Tutorial

Dear all,

Ms Phua has just notified me (more like 10 hours ago) regarding the error in the chemical bonding tutorial. For Qn 9, the formula for compound B should be "C(CH3)4" instead of "(CH3)4". Please note the change, otherwise it will be quite impossible to complete this qn!

Okay, anyway, heres some reminder as to what your groups would be doing for the two tasks allocated to you. So basically, the first task (the art one) is due next week, which is next tuesday. all groups are to select a painting (or a piece of art) from the era that you have chosen and talk about it. All the groups are to present on the same day, and here are the groupings (look for your leaders)

1) Modern Art - Zhengtao
2) Renaissance - Weiliang
3) Chinese - Kah Yim
4) American - Shengwei
5) Aboroginal - Carlos
6) Baroque - Vincent

Okay, then the second task is to research according to the question that you have been allocated with, and along with your group, you are supposed to present on that question (up to your own discretion) and at the same time provide the class with a handout that is to be in point form. Please get the handouts ready before your presentation, and print one copy for Mr Choe just in case. here are the groupings, oh, and the order of presentation is also as follows: (i hope you havent forgotten your qns! ><)

Day 1) 27th April 2007
Group 1 - Passionate (SJ, Jeremy, Mic, Clara)

Fac outing

Hey all

Fac outing is on 28th april. those who are going, please pay $20 tomorrow. Lets all go to fac outing as a class it will be super fun. This is the last school outing the seniors are going for, so lets all go with them too. A lot of the other classes have like full attendance too, and jia yuan and carlos are our fac princess and prince, haha yea carlos, cuz jeremy can't go on that day. Yea so lets all go and support them! Its going to be really fun and we should all go as a class.

And tomorrow's cross country! Go support sam and jeremy if you can. JIAYOU! cross country has a very interesting encouragement board.

Crane Project

Folding cranes for an organisation, which will then sell them to raise funds.


The Japanese people taught us how to fold cranes right! So we should put our skills to the test! Imagine! Time spent happily at the class bench (actually I don't know where too) folding cranes, chatting, whiling away the idle afternoons on a lazy Thursday.
Those interested must email the teacher in charge by 6th April (YES FRIDAY). Go check ur EMB, [CRANE PROJECT] for more exciting details.




OH yes and a big thank yousss and muacks muacks to you guys for helping to entertain the Japanese students! I don't think they would have been able to have such a great experience if not for you guys! :D Yeahhh!

SAF Basic Military Training Centre (BMTC) in Pulau Tekong

Date: 25 April 2007 Wednesday
Time: 1200 - 1700

"The SAF Basic Military Training Centre (BMTC) in Pulau Tekong is open for visitation on 25 April 2007. This is a very good opportunity for students to gain insights into the lifestyle and training that a soldier undergoes during Basic Military Training (BMT). This visit aims to let students gain visual experience of the activities being carried out on the island of Pulau Tekong, which they would have otherwise only heard about. The visit would also help prepare male students for what is in store for them when they are enlisted for NS, and provide female students with a better understanding on the need for NS."

Priority should be given to male Singaporean students.
Non-Singaporeans are also eligible for the visit.
